We are Ice and Steiny, the co-founders of Midwest Golf Vibes, a brand born out of our shared love for the game and the culture that surrounds it in the Midwest. What started as two friends with a passion for exploring local courses has grown into a platform where we highlight everything from championship layouts and hidden gems to the traditions, technology, and community that make Midwest golf special. Through our reviews, rankings, and authentic storytelling, we aim to bring golfers a fresh perspective that’s relatable, entertaining, and true to the spirit of the game we love.

After a football injury in high school, I found a new path through golf—a game that quickly became my passion. I earned a spot on my high school varsity team and carried that drive into college, where I walked on to a Division III golf team. After competing at that level, life pulled me away from the game for nearly 10 years, but my love for golf never faded. Returning to the sport has reminded me of the resilience, discipline, and joy it has always brought me, and it continues to fuel my journey today.
I found my love for the game in high school, where golf quickly became more than just a hobby—it became my passion. I dedicated myself to learning, competing, and improving, and that experience built the foundation for the way I approach the game today. Golf has been a driving force in my life ever since, and it continues to inspire me to share the sport and its culture with others.
